A Thimble Full of Stories

A one hour long storytelling performance for adults where the thread that keeps the fabric of the stories together is the history and tradition of embroidery in Portugal. From the far north in Viana do Castelo to the lush gardens of the Atlantic Island of Madeira, little details about the different embroidery styles the regions are famous for are stitched into stories that give this art form its context and poetry. Listeners will be able to enjoy these lively tales as they learn something more about the colourful and relevant art of embroidery in Portugal.
